What is botox?
“Botox relaxes the muscles. Your appearance becomes softer and wrinkles fade away.”
“Botox relaxes the muscles. Your appearance becomes softer and wrinkles fade away.”
Want to prevent wrinkles, stop time or look younger? Botox can help with that, in both women and men. There is nothing wrong with wrinkles on your face, but some wrinkles are caused by sadness and worry. For example, they remind you of a time you would rather leave behind and give you a tired or hard look, when you don’t feel that way at all. And what about crow’s feet? Very charming – except when they get too deep. You can also suffer from deep wrinkles at a younger age. The skin aging process goes faster for some than for others. External factors such as bright sunlight and smoking also affect it. In short: wrinkles change your appearance. Do you want to do something about it? Then make a appointment with the Van Rosmalen Kliniek.
You can get botox treatment at our clinic in Rotterdam and in Nijmegen. “Cosmetic doctors KNMG”: doctor Annemarie van Rosmalen, doctor Shai Rambaran, doctor Michèle Nonahal and doctor Anna Hettinga-Grelack are now a national celebrity when it comes to botox treatments with a natural result. They give you back a rested and fresh look.
Botulinum Toxin – popularly known as botox – is a natural protein that can block nerve impulses.
This product is injected heavily diluted into your skin to reduce the activity of certain muscles. As a result, fine lines on your face disappear and deep wrinkles fade away. In this way, a botox treatment can even prevent wrinkling in the treated area. The effect can last for three to six months, over time the muscle activity in the skin increases again. The three most common areas for this treatment are forehead lines, frown lines and crow’s feet. In addition to cosmetic indications, this treatment is also suitable for treating excessive perspiration and tension headaches.
A botox treatment consists of a small number of injections. This is virtually painless because your skin is cooled during the botox treatment. The treatment in our botox clinic in Rotterdam or Nijmegen takes only five minutes, but of course we will inform you extensively in advance and together we will make a personal treatment plan with you. You do not have to worry that you will lose your unique appearance and facial expressions. We always go for a subtle and natural result. You will look a lot brighter and fresher, we promise. A Botox treatment can really give a “wow” effect!
Botox®is a registered brand name of Allergan Inc. but it is now popularly used for all types of Botulin Toxin. Botulinum Toxin is a protein produced by the bacteria Clostridium Botulinum. It causes your muscles to relax temporarily by blocking stimulus transmission from a nerve to a muscle.
Botox is injected in a highly diluted form into the muscles responsible for such things as frown lines, crow’s feet and wrinkles in your forehead. The muscle activity is temporarily reduced in the treated area. As a result, fine lines disappear and deep wrinkles fade away. A botox treatment can even prevent wrinkle formation in this way. Over time, muscle activity increases again and the muscle recovers completely.
In our clinics in Rotterdam, Nijmegen, and The Hague, our certified cosmetic physicians offer you a botox treatment with a natural result.
During your visit to our clinic, photos will be taken first, followed by a preparatory consultation to discuss your desires. Together with the physician, a personalized treatment plan will be created. After this non-binding appointment, you can schedule an appointment for the treatment. During the treatment, a few injections will be placed in the targeted area, causing the muscles that create the lines to relax. The treatment takes a few minutes and is virtually painless, as the skin is cooled during the botox treatment.
After the treatment, there may be some redness, swelling, or bruising at the injection sites. Makeup can be used to camouflage this. The effects of the treatment will naturally wear off after four to six months, depending on the type of botox, the treated area, and how often you have used botox before. To maintain a beautiful and long-lasting result, we recommend repeating the treatment at certain intervals. We will be happy to provide you with more information about this at the clinic.
First of all, we would like to invite you for a complimentary and non-obligatory consultation at our clinic. During this consultation, our certified cosmetic physicians will have a conversation with you to assess the best solution that aligns with your desired improvements. Additionally, photos will be taken during the consultation, and an extensive facial and skin analysis will be conducted according to the Confidence Booster® standard by our specialist. Based on your photos and the facial and skin analysis, factors such as skin quality, skin firmness, facial anatomy, and degree of aging will be evaluated. Ultimately, you will receive advice in the form of a personalized treatment plan.
Would you like something done about your frown lines, are you tired of the wrinkles in your forehead or are your crow’s feet or laugh lines – no matter how charming – now really getting a little too deep? Then botox is a good solution. In addition to cosmetic indications, botox is also great for medical treatments such as excessive perspiration, tension headaches, acne, rosacea and eczema. It can even help with teeth grinding and clenching jaws or molars.
Botox is injected into the skin with a very fine needle. Most people describe it as tiny pinpricks and do not experience it as painful.
From start to finish, an appointment takes about half an hour. The botox treatment itself takes a maximum of 10 minutes.
Botox treatment is safe. Nevertheless, in some cases the treatment may not turn out exactly as intended. In this exceptional situation we offer you a solution to still achieve the desired result. There is no charge for this; it is part of the check-up appointment. To minimize the risks and and to maintain a natural result, we always choose a minimum dosage.
After one to two weeks, the result of the treatment is optimal, but some people notice a difference after just one day. After four weeks, the result is at its best.
Botox treatment remains visible for three to four months. In young people, it can sometimes last nine to 12 months. After that, the effect of botox slowly begins to wear off. With regular treatments, the results remain visible longer and longer.
Yes. Some redness and swelling may occur shortly after treatment, or a small bruise at the injection site. You can touch this up with some makeup. Treatment with botox does not leave visible bruises or wounds. However, it is important not to apply pressure to the injected area for eight hours after the treatment to prevent spreading.
Microbotox is also called “baby botox. This is because microbotox uses a lower dosage. The exact dosage depends entirely on what suits your face. For example, it is suitable for softening first lines at a younger age, and preventing permanent wrinkles, such as crow’s feet.
Microbotox reduces the deepest wrinkles during laughter and smoothes the skin slightly when you look relaxed. Your expressive smile and natural appearance is therefore maintained; when you are not smiling, your skin looks smoother and softer. It is an ideal way to slow the aging process at a younger age, and if you are a little older, microbotox can give wonderful results when combined with fillers, especially around the eyes. Microbotox may work a little shorter than regular botox – usually 2 to 3 months – , but it does provide a very natural result
On our price list you can see what the treatment will cost approximately. However, the exact price depends on your unique situation. We will tell you more about this during a consultation about botox in our injectables clinic in Nijmegen or Rotterdam.
