This privacy statement reflects how the Van Rosmalen Kliniek handles your personal data.  

The use of personal data

Van Rosmalen Kliniek obtains personal data from you, for example the data you provide through email, the intake form, the website, through social media, telephone, app, text message, mail and/or verbally. In addition, personal data may be obtained through third parties in the context of professional practice or service provision.

Among other things, Van Rosmalen Kliniek processes the following (special) personal data:  

  • Name and address details;  
  • Contact details, such as email address and telephone numbers;  
  • Date and place of birth;  
  • Gender; 
  • Photos; 
  • Citizen service number; 
  • Data of importance for carrying out the treatment e.g. (medical) data;

Purposes

Van Rosmalen Kliniek processes personal data in the context of its medical services and the professional practice of doctor and skin therapist. In addition, personal data are processed to serve the financial interests and/or commercial interests of Van Rosmalen Kliniek.  

Foundations

Van Rosmalen Kliniek processes personal data on the following grounds 

  • Carrying out the treatment commissioned by you 
  • Compliance with legal obligations such as identification under the guidelines of the Health Care Inspectorate. (IGJ)  
  • Management of the electronic patient record;  
  • Invoicing and if necessary collection of funds whether through collection measures or not 

Provision of your personal data to third parties

Van Rosmalen Kliniek will not provide personal data to third parties without your explicit consent, unless the transfer takes place in the context of the aforementioned bases. A processing agreement is then in place with the third party referred to here.  

Website, links to other websites/social media  

Our website may contain references to other websites, such as hyperlinks. We also include social media buttons on our website in order to share pages via social media networks such as. LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Van Rosmalen Kliniek is not responsible or liable for the processing of personal data by those websites. This privacy statement does not apply to the use of those third-party websites.  

Retention period  

Van Rosmalen Kliniek will not retain your personal data longer than necessary for the purposes stated in this privacy statement. In that context, it is relevant for you to know that the retention period for the purposes of professional liability is 20 years so that the personal data provided by you can also be stored for up to 20 years 

  • We store and use your personal data so that we can provide good care to you 
  • We will only pass on your data to third parties if this is necessary to provide good care. If specific permission is required by law for this, we will ask you for it in advance.  
  • We process your data on the basis of the treatment agreement as described in the Medical Treatment Agreement Act (WGBO).  
  • You can view parts of your personal data. Please send us a written request 
  • If you feel that the data we have stored about you is not correct, you may ask us in writing to amend your data.  
  • You may ask us to delete your personal data. If we do this, we can (possibly) no longer provide responsible care to you. The WGBO requires a retention period of 20 years. Therefore, in that case we store your data in an inactive archive, invisible and unusable by the normal user.  
  • You can withdraw your consent to our processing of your personal data. We can then (possibly) not guarantee responsible care. We will in that case store your data in an inactive archive. (see above 
  • You can object to us if you disagree with the way we process your personal data.  
  • You will be notified by us if something has gone wrong with your personal data.  
  • We do not process your data longer than necessary to provide good care. We comply with the retention periods of the WGBO.  
  • All of the above also applies to personal data we receive through third parties 
  • Additional agreements are signed in case of treatment.    

We are transparentyour rights 

You have the right to request Van Rosmalen Kliniek to inspect your personal data. Upon receipt of your request for inspection, you will receive an overview of your personal data processed and/or stored by us within a reasonable period of time.  

To request this personal data you can send an email to info@vanrosmalenkliniek.nl after which we will initiate the procedure. You also have the right to object to the processing or storage of your personal data. This includes the right to request rectification or erasure of your personal data. You can also request that your personal data be transferred to you. It is worth noting that a claim to the aforementioned rights may be rejected if the processing of your personal data is in the interest of the correct execution of the order given to us, due to a claim of doctor’s professional secrecy, or the retention of your personal data is necessary due to the legal requirements for this 

Finally, if you see reason to do so, you have the right to file a complaint with the Personal Data Authority

The Van Rosmalen Clinic makes use of cookies on its websites. A cookie is a text file that is stored on the hard drive of your computer, tablet or phone. This is because we prefer to do this as targeted as possible, also to prevent you from seeing the same advertisement from us too often.
