GLOW Melasma

“For even skin without discoloration.”

What is your improvement desire?

  • Do you suffer from erratic pigmentation spots, or melasma?
  • Did you get a so-called pregnancy mask after your pregnancy?
  • Would you like to have more even skin and use less makeup?
  • Would you like to tackle dullness, fine lines and large pores at the same time?

Our skin treatment for melasma and hormone-sensitive pigmentation

Melasma or “pregnancy mask” is a skin condition that is common. More and more young women and sometimes men are developing erratic brown spots – often due to a combination of predisposition, UV radiation, blue light and hormone imbalances. Before these spots become darker and more difficult to treat, you’ll want to address this. Fortunately, pigmentation spots that lie in the upper layers of skin (epidermis) are often easy to treat. A GLOW Melasma combination treatment may be the perfect solution for you.

What is GLOW Melasma?

The GLOW Melasma combination treatment is the perfect blend of treatments and techniques that we apply side by side (different skin areas) and on top of each other (same skin area). This blend is specifically designed to reduce, fade and stabilize melasma pigmentation. The GLOW Melasma treatment is a combination of different peels, microneedling, a soothing (phytocorrective) mask and aftercare with cosmeceuticals. The unique recipe to effectively address melasma.

What makes our GLOW treatments unique?

Each skin area often has different needs. For example, you may suffer from melasma throughout the face, but at the same time suffer from rosacea on the cheeks and, for example, a coarser skin texture on the nose. The uniqueness of our GLOW treatments is that in one session we treat the same skin area with different techniques to penetrate deeply, but also treat different skin areas. This all falls under one combination treatment that we call GLOW treatment. Why do we do it this way? We have experienced and proven that in this way we can achieve a faster, more effective and better result for your face.

The GlOW Melasma step-by-step plan

Intake Intake

We begin with an intake that focuses on your needs. Together we look at the needs of your skin in your face, neck, décolleté and/or hands at that time. We then recommend which treatments we think would be most suitable for you. Together we will come up with a personalized plan to make you and your skin shine. We also give you an indication of the costs.

Pre-treatment Pre-treatment

You can get started right at home with our HOME skincare cosmeceuticals to stabilize your pigment cells. These cosmeceuticals have a high concentration of active ingredients that can already significantly lighten pigment spots. Ingredients such as Niacinamide, Kojic acid, phytic acid, fruit acids, arbutin and vitamin C accelerate the breakdown of excess pigment in the skin. By starting to prepare your skin at home you reduce the risk of a skin reaction after the treatment. This is because your skin has already become accustomed to certain ingredients that we also use during the treatment.

Treatment Treatment

The treatment session consists of several parts. During one treatment session, we perform several superficial peels. We select the appropriate peels for your skin. Do you have sensitive skin? Then we choose for example a gentle mandelic peeling.

Can your skin handle a little more? Then we choose a more intensive TCA (Trichloroacetic acid) peeling. With a peeling we safely remove the superficial layer of skin, making unevenness in this skin layer disappear. We combine peels with microneedling. This allows us to target pigment in the deeper skin layers as well. This not only makes your skin more even, it also improves your skin structure and stimulates the production of collagen. Then we apply a hydrating or calming (phytocorrective) mask. This session with several treatments takes an average of 45 to 60 minutes.

Post-treatment Post-treatment

You will be given comprehensive post-treatment instructions after each treatment so you know exactly what to do and what to expect. It is important that you allow your skin to rest. In the first week after treatment, avoid exfoliating creams, scrubs and masks with lots of perfume. Also be sure to avoid bright sun, massages and beauty treatments for four weeks.

In addition, give your skin good daily sun protection with SPF50. With the HOME-treatment products you have used prior to the treatment, you also take care of appropriate aftercare at home. You treat your skin with antioxidants, light ceutic and melacream, among others. This last product is specially developed for pigment-sensitive skin and all these products ensure that your skin produces new pigment less quickly.  Do you have questions about aftercare? Your skin therapist will be happy to help you – even after the treatment.

Maintenance treatments Maintenance treatments

For long-term results, we recommend repeating this treatment so we can control the appearance of new pigmentation spots. An initial GLOW melasma treatment is lighter and we build up the intensity to maintain the result and stabilize your skin.

Does this GLOW treatment suit your skin and your improvement needs? During the intake interview, we look at your face and determine together whether we will include this treatment in your personal plan. We also determine which frequency will give the best results. We almost always recommend multiple treatments. Research shows that skin treatments in a cure context give the best and fastest results, think of an average of 4 to 6 treatments and then you continue with maintenance treatments. We also look at other GLOW treatments that can be a good addition to your personal plan.
