This treatment works on the basis of hyaluronic acid. This is an endogenous substance with a moisturizing effect, in addition, it stimulates the production of collagen. As we age, the amount of collagen and the number of elastin fibers decreases, causing the skin to lose elasticity and volume. Hyaluronic acid also decreases, making the skin drier. As a result, you will notice that the skin becomes saggier and wrinkles or fine lines appear more quickly. By undergoing a Skinbooster treatment, the volume and elasticity of the skin is restored and fine lines fade away.

Dry lips
Did you know that lip fillers are also used for lip hydration? Skinbooster Volite, on the other hand, does fall under the category of fillers and therefore lasts up to about 1 year. However, it does not give volume, but rather firmness and hydration; as you would expect from a Skinbooster. This treatment is therefore suitable for people who are happy with their lips, but do notice that they are getting a bit saggy or feel drier. It is also a wonderful entry treatment for people with thin lips, where we treat the contours with Volbella and the body with Volite. This provides subtle filling in volume and a big difference hydration and firmness.
You can use this treatment effectively for many different skin areas. For the face, for the lips, but also for the neck, décolleté and hands. The treatment takes about half an hour. A Skinbooster is a thin filler with hyaluronic acid as a base. We work with different Skinbooster brands, namely Profhilo, Juvéderm® Volite, Belotero® Revive. Depending on your skin condition and skin desires, we choose the most suitable Skinbooster type for your skin. The hyaluronic acid filler is placed in multiple skin areas with a series of micro-injections. Thus the skin is improved with this body’s own substance from within.
A Skinbooster goes well together with skin therapy treatments for the face, neck and décolleté. Years of experience of our cosmetic doctors KNMG and skin therapists have shown that a combination of cosmetic and various skin therapy treatments provide the best results. A Skinbooster in combination with a peeling, microneedling and/or laser for example. A peeling removes the dead skin cells and thus unevenness in your skin, a laser treatment provides extra tightening of your skin and evens out the complexion of the skin, while a Skinbooster provides extra hydrated and firm skin. Thus, a win-win situation!
After the treatment, you have little to no recovery time. This varies per person. Immediately after treatment there may be some swelling in the treated area. This will go away within a few days. In the first week after treatment, avoid peeling creams, and scrubs. Also, be sure not to get in bright sun, or undergo massages and beauty treatments. Protect your skin daily with a good sunscreen. With our POST-treatment products advised to you by the doctor, take care of appropriate aftercare at home.
