As you age, the lines in your forehead get deeper and deeper, but in some people they appear at a fairly young age. A shame, because these deep wrinkles in your forehead often give you a tired and sullen look, as if you are constantly frowning or looking puzzled – even when you are just relaxed.

The treatment
After we receive you at our clinic, photos are taken and a preliminary consultation follows to go over your wishes. Together with you, the doctor will draw up a personal treatment plan. The consultation is completely non-committal. Then you can schedule an appointment to undergo treatment. During the treatment some injections will be given in the forehead. The muscles responsible for the horizontal lines are weakened. This treatment takes only a few minutes and is virtually painless, as your skin is cooled during the botox treatment. We often recommend a combination with a frown wrinkle treatment and/or brow elevator. This ensures the most beautiful results.

After the treatment, some redness, swelling or blue discoloration may be seen where the pricks were given. If you wish, you can camouflage this with a little makeup. After two to three months, the product is broken down again by the body. However, the effect of the treatment can remain visible for longer because the skin has had a longer period of rest. For a beautiful and long-lasting result we recommend repeating the treatment at regular intervals. Of course we will inform you extensively about this in the clinic.

During the treatment, we will go over this plan again before starting the treatment. The treatment itself only takes a few minutes.
How long does it take to see results?
The result of the botox treatment for forehead wrinkles is not immediately visible after the treatment. This is because the botulinum toxin has an effect time of several days. Usually it takes about a week before the final result becomes visible. The maximum effect is achieved after 2 weeks.
How long will it take before I am presentable again after this treatment?
After forehead wrinkle treatment, there may be some redness or swelling at the puncture site for the first half hour. In some cases, a blue discoloration may be seen. Should you find this unpleasant, this can be camouflaged with makeup.
